Tondemo Nothing’s Next Top Irrelevant Post

I realize I’ve not blogged about anime in ages (which actually doesn’t reflect my watching schedule at all. It should be easy to surmise that the more anime I watch the less time I have to blog, right? Oh exams? What exams…).
I was considering blogging the latest cycle of America’s Next Top Model that recently premiered a week ago or something – this show is like my guilty displeasure. I roll my eyes constantly at all the cliche bitchy antics of these girls (nowadays, it happens more when host Tyra Banks appears on screen), yet I’ve laughed and cried (out of laughter XD) and screamed “B****TTTTTCCCCHHHH!!!!” at the screen (and I wonder why my neighbours dislike me) through 11 season of this ‘reality’ crap that passes of as entertainment show and I still ask for more every week. I guess it makes me feel better to see more miserable specimens of the human species than I am -_-”
*ahem* Anyways, I swept the idea aside since I wasn’t up to screen-capping youtube videos and spam AnimeNano with non-anime/Japanese material (Hey, they came to Tokyo for one cycle), but it seems kanzeon has taken up the task anyhow. And I wouldn’t be who I am if I wasn’t a bandwagon jumper so here goes =P
Here’s a quick quip on the cycle so far (up to episode 3): show
Oh, who am I kidding, the only reason I did this post was to post this pic:
And why? Because I really have to say: Hands up if you think Mr Jay Manuel reminds you of a certain dinosaur…
Okay, back to reclaiming whatever’s left of my intelligence now…
P.S. Say otou-san, probably a bit late, but interested in blogging this season of Project Runway? ;P

Lol I don’t know why I’m still watching this show since I don’t really like the previous winners on here… Maybe because it’s really funny and Tyra is
dragfunny everytime she’s on panel…About this season, I really hate Elina’s taste for women but I don’t she won’t get influenced by Clark’s bitchiness and get controlled by her in the house (scarrry).. I WANT CLARK TO GET BALD NEXT WEEK.

but I don’t she won’t get influenced
>> Wth… I didn’t even proofread my comment XD that’s supposed to be hope

At first I was thinking, what the heck is this post doing here then I saw that fabulous person. All is forgiven.

The similarities are striking:
- We’re fabulous
- We wear white t-shirts
- We don’t have sex with women

Hmm. I’m now sexually confused. Good job.

The only similarity that guy and I share is that we’re male.

*LOL* Everyone needs their guilty pleasures. I used to watch this show and it was pretty funny. I say go for it and blog it. ^_^

Rofl. I used to marathon this show so much just to laugh my ass off! Maha. Jay is looking spiffy as always.

I have never seen America’s Next Top Model. I’d rather watch Artland or the deliciously guilty pleasure, Project Runway. Project Runway has grown men crying, whereas the catty girls on Top Model usually deserve it.
There’s also The First Tuesday Book Club in Australia where four panelists rubbish the latest and older but greatest books available. It’s so hilarious seeing John Safran talk about books he’s read when he’s on, but they get interesting guests on each month, and I’m hooked on the ABC podcasts.
So far they haven’t reviewed one manga volume, which implies the snobbery of the show, but the snobbery is lessening over time, they did choose Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks as a book club choice.

This brings back memories from when i was actually interested in 3D humans. When i look at it now i think those girls in the show are b****** and drama queens. But i like the guy. He is FABULOUS and has good sense.
September 14, 2008 @ 3:31 pm
@kanzeon: I’ve really grown tired of Tyra and her “smile with your eyes etc.” routine. I’m just waiting to see what ‘exotic locale’ they decide to go to this cycle
(Again, WRRY ELINA WWWRYY?????)
@Shin: I demand a shop of Mr Jay doing the Kira.
@Baka-Raptor: Add “I adore you both!” to the list ;D
@Omisyth: There there, you and the half of today’s anime fandom =P
@C.I. : The show could use someone like you on it then XD
@Caitlin: LOL, we’ll see when the next episode rolls by…
@amayalee: There’s nothing more addicting than brain-rotting ‘entertainment’ XD
@Asperger’s Anime Blogger: Glad to see you keep your intelligence in check =P Project Runway is my other non-anime ‘guilty pleasure’, only I don’t feel at all guilty about it at all (I need to find the anime blogosphere equivalent of Tim Gunn…)
@Setsuna-san: It’s so much harder to find 3D humans with both FABULOUSness and good sense isn’t it? (*turns to Code Geass*, okay, maybe it’s harder still in anime…)
September 14, 2008 @ 4:58 pm
rofl, I used to watch this during my business trips, aka when I’m not at my comfy cove at home, and don’t have the luxury of downloading stuff for my anime ‘hobby’. Fun lulz stuff XD
And yes, the similarity between that dude and Baka-Raptor is uncanny
September 14, 2008 @ 8:26 pm
Lol Tyra is
sometimesalways a TYRAnt…and their international destination will be Amsterdam, Netherlands
September 14, 2008 @ 9:10 pm
@usagijen: Baka-Raptor cameo-ing as a substitute Jay would be beyond awesome (it’ll probably revive the faliling ratings for the show
)
@kanzeon: NO SPOILERS PLX!!! (Damn, I was hoping it’d be somewhere like India for once, I’d like to see the culture shock kill the girls for once XD)
September 15, 2008 @ 11:37 am
Lol sorry ^_^… But it is said on wikipedia so I thought it was not already a spoiler T.T
But wouldn’t it be nice to have a photoshoot where the girls pose as Netherland-ians hanging on a rotating windmill? lol I can imagine the horrors right now XD…
September 15, 2008 @ 2:14 pm
@kanzeon: If it involved nooses around their necks (while wearing FIERCE wooden clogs and posing with blocks of cheese), then yea
September 16, 2008 @ 12:10 am
I would watch the show in a heartbeat if it featured the wooden shoe/noose/cheese scenario (and if Baka-Raptor were really on it). But my carefully cultivated cool & spicy image is already in danger from all that project runway.
I may have to return completely to un-reality tv, especially the kind with subtitles, if Kinsey stays on runway one more week because her voice is making my ears bleeeeeeeed.

It’s those eyes. Eeeww
