Don’t laugh. From past experience, Saikyou OX Keikaku can be quite awkward to sing in a pair – then again, so is any song that starts with the line “Let’s Make Babies!

(I kid, both my senpai and I had a blast singing it XD Well at least I did. And no, we did not end up like Chase and Hinano in any of their possible endings -_-”)

Okay, so am I’m probably the only person left who hasn’t played and posted about RenAi Blogger. Oh wait, that line’s been taken already. Anyways, since I’m such a bandwagon jumper, I knew I had to post this one eventually, but since I only have internet for less than half an hour left, I’m doing it now despite not exhausting all the possible routes in the game yet. I typed up this post last night but the curse of the internet that gets cut of the moment I click “publish” struck again, so I did manage to finish all the routes in the end. I think.

At first, I knew my lack of actual social skills (wait, you mean they’re applicable in a 2D game???) was going to get the best of me, so I just ‘aimed’ for all the bad ends at first (uh yea, I really did mean to get them… seriously…), like the one with Natsuko’s mom that I wish got at least a non-black screen XD The trap end came rather easily too :P (I can’t believe I reached the pedophile end before the trap one -_-”)

Yea, it’s not like I’m that into BL or anything…

Well, in the end I had to end up with a good end anyhow (thanks for making the game simple for dating sim n00bs Hinano =P). Think I got CJ first (before I ended up yaoi-paddled -_-”), then Hinano (because I have a penchant for going through random encounters, even in RL), then Natsuko (which had so many pedobear warnings laced throughout, it showed how thickheaded I was not to take them and getting all the bad ends first =P), and finally Jen. Was slowly going through them routes while doing my stupid “fill in the blanks with the right Japanese particle” homework *urgh* and folding my laundry etc.

Though I had “hazukashii serifu kinshi!” going through my head in many parts of the game, I did realize how it must’ve been difficult to balance a script between ‘realistic’ and ‘cheesy’, and I did like how the lines were mostly tongue-in-cheek anyways XD (so was the whole of Hinano’s route, which I was lol-ing at all the way). Anyways, if it hasn’t come across, though I did enjoy the game if only for the nice boat lulz, I have to commend the end result and will always be on the lookout for a sequel :P

As for any ‘constructive criticism’ (what an oxymoron) can someone who’s not actually played an ‘actual’ dating sim before? Incorporate fighting! (Well, I don’t think it counts as an ‘actual’ dating sim, but it’s sure as hell fun to see Mint admitting to smoking pot =P)
