This random filer picture post is brought to you by the lack of bloggable i.e. easy to make fun of series this season my latest trip to Den Den Town (For those who’ve not heard me blab about this place, it’s like Osaka’s version of Akihabara)… 2 weeks ago. Don’t ask me why I never got round to posting it between then and now…

Basically, we (me and my giant robot plastic model building friend, it’s amazing how well we get long) walked around bit and made random purchases, etc. nothing interesting to say, hopefully pictures make up for that:

After Den Den Town:

Remember this place? Perhaps it’s not clear from the pic, but that’s the famous giant crab somewhere in the middle, while on the right is that kuidaore (Eat till you drop) restaurant, which my friend tells me has shut down, but I think I still saw the kuidaore doll standing in front of the building. Anyways, if you haven’t guessed it, the only reason I took this picture was because of the random “FREE HUGS’ sign some poor guy was holding without much enthusiasm in the middle of the crowd :P (No, I did not approach him to find out what the deal was)

More random lulz. This is a mini version of a large poster we spotted on the way to Umeda. One of the many random things that kept my mind off the fact that we were walking from Nipponbashi to Umeda on foot for no apparent reason than to not take the train for 4/5 stops -_-”

And finally the day’s spoils (on my side):

Finally found a Nodame Cantabile gachapon machine!!! Unfortunately, due to my shitty gachapon luck, I got the 2 things on my 2 tries I probably had at the bottom on my priority. Oh well, at least I have something to store my coins in now (the piano mini bag) and something to hang off my electronic dictionary (the mongoose is a bit too large for my cellphone)

I just couldn’t resist this Chi’s Sweet Home mechanical pencil XD I feel terrible though using it and then putting it into my pencil box, it’s like I’m imprisoning poor Chi >.<

After my crud luck with the Nodame gachapon machine… I find a store that sells the items directly for the same price without the hassle of relying on luck ORZ. So I got the Chiaki strap that I wanted, yay! Too bad it’s metal, so it’ll probbaly scratch my phone if I strapped it there.

I think I mentioned this purchase a few days ago: 18 volumes of Aka-chan to Boku for under 900yen – I so love second-hand bookstores! Was a bitch carrying it back home, and I’ve not opened the shrinkwrap yet since I’ve till got loads of other manga to read, so it’s now standing on top of my wardrobe making my room look like the bookstore it came from -_-”

Honorary mention: Kamina phone strap (with drill!) from a Gurren Lagann gachapon machine. Nothing againt the guy or anything, but I was really hoping for a Yoko one, or a Simon one, or a Gurren one, or a Lagann one, or even a Gurren Lagann one… So yea, I’ve learnt that when I prioritize what I want from a gachapon machine, my shit luck delivers me the last thing on the list -_-” Well, I gave it to my friend in the end :P Now I admit I kinda want it myself, but it looks better on his phone than on mine (Kamina would probably balk beng hung off a pink phone -_-”), so there.

In fact, I’ve actually set this post to publish a day late, so while you’re reading this, I’ll most likely be on the way there again to commemorate the start of Summer Break (!!!) That and well, I’m hoping to find this in store… *fingers crossed*
