Kamen no Maid Guy 12: Kogarashi Dies. T_T

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look what the lack of subbers have done to Maid Guy!!!
(Oh, and if you haven’t realized, this post is chock full of spoilers for Kamen no Maid Guy 12.
…And a helpful dash of half-lies as well
)
(Come on, we’re talking about Kogarashi here. Proffesion-wise Maid Guys are probably likely to die as the average climber on a happy-go-lucky party in Tower of Druaga… Oh wait… At any rate, he had much less of a chance of dying as Doujou did -_-”)
Anyone want another WTF Maid Guy episode “analysis post” ? Conclusion for episode 12: Kogarashi dying for real would kill this series. Literally.
Since its the last episode, Kogarashi-spam all the way from now on!
So in the final last ditch attempt to put some plot into this show episode Naeka’s grandpa celebrates his birthday in a way only rich bastards with tons of meidos can. Of course his absolutely ‘lovely grandchildren’ are invited, but to ‘protect’ their status as future heirs to the Fujiwara estate, jii-chan turns the affair into a masked ball… Yea, since one Maid Guy and his useless dojikko meido Maid Guy tamer is obviously not enough against the power of the final episode deux ex machina plot device.
Even cow tits Naeka knows the plan is iffy – they’re still lacking steel plates strong enough to hold in her rack, thus the disguise is virtually useless. (The glasses looked 10 times better on Kogarashi btw)
Multiple Choice Question: You eyes first went where?
“Answer”: show
These ladies are 12 episodes too late to apply for Jason’s pantheon.
I was totally taken aback to hear the Fubuki being refered to as ‘Maid Guy Tamer‘ in this episode by the Meido Task Force (If you haven’t been able to tell from my Toshokan Sensou posts, I suck at remembering official names of organizations so I make them up
) Then I remembered that that was her original ‘purpose’ in the setup… Only her ‘taming’ capabilities are slightly questionable…
Anyways, the last episode deux ex machina plot device comes in the form of the masked meido (you just know maids mean business when they have masks like that) who works for Naeka’s rival relative, yadda yadda yadda… I don’t even remember her name (don’t think it was explicitly mentioned?).
But we all know that no manner of deux ex machina can go against the King of Deux Ex Machinas Himself
All them “Awesome Kogarashi Moments” (i.e. Kogarashi being the deux ex machina that He Is) this episode are best viewed for yourself (i.e. I have no high resolution screenshots) =P I especially liked the soundtrack accompanying his last minute ‘revival’, awesome stuff, the entire scene (well, the lack of an actual conclusion from the scene made it short of epic, but *shrugs, oh well…*)
There is only ONE Maid Guy… right? show
Oh yea, in the shot above, Fubuki looks like she’s auditioning for that 3rd season of Black Lagoon (@blissmo: Black Lagoon is totally up your alley btw) Would she survive even an episode in Roanapur though?
Well, I guess she has a chance…
So the episode ends with the villains retreating and well, basically, the setup of the show doesn’t change much except that there’s more of a villainous presence around now… But wait, it’s the last episode. WTF? This better mean SECOND SEASON!
“SEE YOU AGAIN!!!!!” (???)
Damn, I’m gonna miss Kamen no Maid Guy and it’s bummer to see that there’s actually more ’story material’ (not that I really care about the ‘plot’) that’s available to cover, yet the series has to stop here at 12 episodes -_-” Totally did not help that subs stalled and the current budget for the show doesn’t make it seem likely for a second season any time soon… I’d take a look at the manga, but the lack of the fabled MEIDO GAI VOICE will probably cut the entertainment value short…
Oh well, at least I’ll get to hear more of Koyama Rikiya (Kogarashi) in Mahou Tsukai blahblahblah… (Kukuku…)

damn, issa-sa! i thought you were serious when you said he died!!! :O somehow, i can’t imagine anyone in Mahou Tsukai saying “Kukuku…” If that happens, I will fall down on the floor and die laughing!
I wish subs would come in already…
Onto a next season!!! Hopefully.

Thanks for the review! It’s just so sad that subs are v.e.r.y. slow on this series that’s why I dropped watching this one since episode 6… Maybe I’ll pick it up again when all eps are out…

This post reminds me of a Mazinkaiser episode entitled ‘KOUJI KABUTO DIES IN MAGMA’. Suffice to say, Kouji fails to die, in magma or in anything else.

We can always pretend there’s more Maid Guy on the way.

@biankita: Kogarashi and Sora’s mentor/teacher have the same voice actor. Based on the what, 2 lines he had in the 2nd ep of Mahou Tsukai etc., I’d shit bricks if he said “Kukuku” ever.
@metatron: I think the subs probably stalled over the gradual lack of Kogarashi around that point.
@IKnight: The lesson being that stating someone ‘dies’ in the title of anything is usually a lie. Hence, I’m expecting Shirley to come back to life in some later part of Code Geass.
@Baka Raptor: I’m now convinced that Kogarashi used that ability at the end to make us think that the series has ended, when it hasn’t! (Well, I could hope)
@C.I.: If I ever figure out how to implement FREEZE VOICE into this blog, I would
@Shin: Kyousuke was eating them brown ball things the entire episode. I’d notice them first too if Chocolate Underground hadn’t already spoiled me in that respect.
