Obligatory Mudkip joke here. (And yes, this becomes relevant later)
Again, like I mentioned in my previous post (a few minutes ago, wtf), here’s a post on all the random things I might’ve blogged about this weekend – if I had my butt in front of the computer between the hours of 9:00am to 10:00pm when the wireless here is actually available -_-”
First up, The Anime Blog Awards People’s Choice Awards results are out (Okay they were out before the weekend I believe, but I’m not exactly the most efficient blogging machine -_-”)! Congratulations to all the blogs who’ve won that I don’t have the time to link to individually here! And if you were as (pleasantly or not) surprised by some of the results based on what last you saw of the polls, then you must be as thick as me and not noticed that this is the People’s Choice not Bloggers’ (please tell me I wasn’t the only one… -_-”), hence this is the voice of the People, and not that of the circle-wankers that we are! (Yes, joke made in bad taste as usual, take all the offence you want and call me a hypocrite, nothing actually meant here
)
I was pleasantly surprised by some of the choices people as a majority voted for in the end really, since despite voting for these blogs myself (:D), I had the impression that they were only doing so-so Bloggers’-side the last time I checked (which was ages even before the voting closed). So specific congratulations to j1m0ne’s blog (Nana-chan 4tw!!!), Ex-fansubber hitorigoto (Okay, honestly I can’t remember who I voted for in this category, but I sure as heck like Hinano’s babbles, and the image at the post is adorable
), and Derailed by Perfect Service on My MInd (this was the real surprise for me, since I got this impression that Jason wasn’t actually liked by many bloggers, myself NOT included
)
(It would surprise me more if Random Curiosity didn’t win Best Episodic for Bloggers’ Choice as well)
Interesting for me is that when the results were posted did I actually realize that I voted for a different set of blogs during the People’s Choice and Bloggers’ Choice Awards respectively, which may seem inconsistent of me, but I suppose that’s reflective of the side of me that’s just a reader and occasional commenter and that who blogs random crack. Indeed I was in different sets of mind for each, in the People’s Choice I just automatically clicked whichever blog I felt I enjoyed reading with regards to the category and that took less than a quarter of the time I took mulling over which blog to vote for during Blogger’s Choice strangely enough.
Giratina’s Origin Form looks like something I’d find in a seafood market.
Next up, the whole second season remake new series what exactly is Kyoto Animation doing with regards to Suzumiya Haruhi now? Now I’m just plain confused over what it’s going to be about (which I’ll just wait for when it eventually comes out to find out), what it’s going to be called (The Disappearance/Reappearance/Latest Money-milking Gimmick of Suzumiya Haruhi?) and whether Yuki will remain as awesome as ever ( or more!)
And for the record, I’m sort of partial to long-hair myself in RL, but I find it doesn’t really matter in anime as long as the design fits the character. No comment on Hirano Aya’s short hair, since I usually ignore her in favour of Mizuki Nana and questions like “Is it just me or does Horie Yui still look the same after all these years”) when I flip through mags.
Pachirisu Ramen??? (Needs more emo)
This weeks’ Code Geass was hilarious as usual. Without spoiling too much (not that I have much right to do so, since a lot of the dialogue flew past my head as usual and there are only screenshots at Random Curiosity currently, all I can say is: show
Damn, they’re coming out blurrer than usual…
Lastly, Where I Was Forced To Go To This Weekend here’s one more weeaboo place to visit in Osaka: If you’ve not figured it out by all the pictures littered in this post, it’s the Pokemon Centre Osaka – at The Crystal Plaza somewhere in Umeda.
“Fully healed!”
This was a totally unplanned stop – seriously. I don’t think I’ve mentioned anywhere here that I’m a Pokemon fan =P Yes, I already know I fail in life. Was going to Umeda to meet up with some senpais and perhaps to do some (real life) shopping. Ended up being brought here by one of my senpais who’s probably a bigger Pokemon fan than I’ll ever be XD
The new movie (like they’ll ever stop making new ones) – you have no idea how difficult it was to take this one with the amount of kiddies milling about -_-”
For the budding cosplayers out there.
Besides being a place to go to for Pokemon-related merchandise (plushies, trading cards, foodstuff and other household items to trick parents of kiddies of their hard-earned money, etc), there’s Pokemon arcade games to play, other fans to meet up with to have a game/card battle (I don’t think I’ve seen as many Nintendo DS’s in one place as I did before that). Forgot to try the gachapon machines – Would really like a Mudkip phonestrap XD
After that we went for karaoke (it’s like 3rd weekend in a row for me, with different bunches of people. My wallet is feeling the strain…) where I totally failed to sing Sakamoto Maaya’s Triangular (I only heard the full version once before that for the record
) – and I was VERY disappointed that the line “WHAT IS THIS TRIANGLE FOR???” was omitted *frowns* Ah well.

You can always clear those doubts about Haruhi by buying that edition of Newtype and telling us. ( ´∀`) Also, I herd you liek mudkips.

Thanks for the congrats! Chalk me up as another one surprised by some of the results of the People’s Choice awards. THAT Anime Blog winning Best Manga Blog is one heck of a dubious choice…
I vote for The Latest Money-milking Gimmick of Suzumiya Haruhi. Sounds catchier than all the possibilities anyway!

@Shin: I still fail at reading moonrunes. And I hate the Mudkip joke, Mudkip is actually my favourite starter in the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald series!!! Gah.
@j1m0ne: What, THAT won best manga blog??? (Okay so I don’t exactly read manga blogs…) And here to prove how much my Japanese sucks is my attempt at the new title for the series: 涼宮ハルヒの最新金集め作戦! (Suzumiya Haruhi no Saishin Kane Atsume Sakusen! – Not very catchy at all…)
