Another Nana live report! (It’s so sad that I’ve totally abandoned this blog and only update literally once every half year now -_-”)

Nana’s LIVE GAMES 2010 was this past weekend and despite bloody exams this week I chose hopped all the way to Seibu Dome to watch it knowing that I would be too busy twacking myself in regret for not going to study if I stayed home this weekend anyhow.

(And when I say ‘hopped’ I really do mean the usual 8 hour overnight bus ride from here to Tokyo and then another 8 hours back. It’s scary how I’m actually getting used to this…)

And now that I just got back, I have to say I should be totally wiped out by now after what really feels like the most intense weekend I’ve ever gone had – Could I really handle two straight days of Nana??? WEll I did and I TOTALLY do not regret being a bad panda and running off to play games right before exam period =P Even if god forbid I end up flunking all of them *touch wood* IT WAS BLOODY WORTH IT!!

I think I’m only still awake on what must be leftover adrenaline tossing up this report post cos I just HAVE to get this out of my system or I’ll never get to studying for my bloody exams that start tomorrow. SO without further ado…

ARE YOU READY?

OK!

COME ON!

LET’S GO!!!

Bleh, not only did I forget my umbrella -it rained like hell on the way home- but also my good camera with me too OTL)

Considering how I’ve hiked up and down this country every time there’s a Nana concert this past 2 years (god, it’s been that long), there was NO way I was going to miss watching Nana perform just a mere 40 mins away from my doorstep, even if it was still the same live tour I watched last month in Fukuoka (10 hours away by bus in comparison, yikes!). It actually felt strange for once to just wake up on a Saturday morning afternoon in my own bed as usual and just going out to have a crazy blast with Nana on the same day (but in a really good way of course =D)

Just a brief post. Title says it all, really?

In which I hand out hastily thought out awards to the shows I watched this year to break the long drought between posts (and so that I have an excuse to not post anything until at least a month into next year =P). So without further ado:

Most Scrumptious Show: Ristorante Paradiso

Best Half-Comedy: Seitokai no Ichizon – Not perhaps the best year for comedies. At the very least Seitokai no Ichizon made me laugh for at least half every episode before they try to bring the show into a character development phase which… is rather nyeh.

Best Full-Comedy: Maria Holic

Best use of 5 minutes each week: Axis Power Hetalia

Best show whose hype I could follow at the time: Eden of the East

Best Life Sliced: Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou

Most “Refreshing”: Kimi ni Todoke

Smallest Impact : Sora no Manimani – Why can’t I remember watching you???

Best sequel: Darker Than Black – Ryuusei no Gemini

Best improved sequel: White Album 2 – Although Shin Ai >>>>> Mugen, the 2nd season of WA was waaaaaayyyy more watchable than the first, though most people would find that too little too late. The end does explain why Touya was such a douchey-bagey player, though my remaining qualm is why every single female in his sight would fall for his failness in the first place, let alone all of them at once -_-”

Best turned into a yaoi OVA: Endless Eight

Most Forgettable Sequel: Minami-ke Oka-something – The only thing I seem to remember from this is the curry song)

Sequel I ended up caring the Least for: Maria-sama ga Miteru Something Season – Touka sucks, period

‘Best’ Show I DIDN’T Watch: Bakemonogatari. And I’m only arbitrarily giving this award out to the one show that everyone else yapped about this year that I only watched 4 eps of and then just completely forgot to watch after that. *runs from hoardes of stapler wielding fans*

‘Best’ Show I Wish I DIDN’T Watch: K-ON + Haruhi. Guess who my least favourite studio is this year? =P

Best Overall Show: Skip to the end

Oh, give it a few more episodes…

I think it’s obvious I like me some shoujo, especially when there’s a coupling worth supporting and mush factors are low enough, so Kimi ni Todoke and Sawako X Kazehaya (*squeals randomly*) was set to be the treat of this season for me =D Loved the 1st episode and absolutely <3<3<3<3<3 the second – after the reason I found this show a ‘refreshing’ (I’ll have to find a way to use this word less) change in the genre from recent shoujo offerings hit me during the episode that I just had to start blabbing about it here after my longest unplanned hiatus yet! (And if a show inspires me to post something after 2-3 months it has to be good! *ignores the last post*)

(I’ve already ranted about this everywhere else but for the sake of filler here goes:)

miracletrain2_monja

Just for the record, the stuff that ckook Tsukishima was stuffing down everyone’s throats in Miracle Train ep.2 is MONJAYAKI (henceforth known as just monja, or “disgustingly sad an yucky non-replacement of its superior and thus more widely-known cousin Okonomiyaki“) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE IT FOR OKONOMIYAKI WHICH IS SO SO SO MUCH MORE BETTER TASTING (and at least fills your somach and hence makes it feel worth your money)
